Join us for the opening weekend of Second Samuel, a play by Pamela Parker, directed by Kevin Lee. This comical and touching story of life and friendships is set in the fictitious small town of Second Samuel, Georgia in 1949, where everyone knows everyone else’s business, or so it seems. The recent death of the town’s matriarch, Miss Gertrude, impacts the lives of the citizens and reveals their assorted eccentricities, relationships, and secrets…often in the most outrageously comical ways.
The show runs this weekend, August 10, 11, 12, and next weekend August 16, 17, & 18. We have a special benefit performance on Thursday, August 9 to benefit Equality NC. Performances are at the Music Academy of Eastern Carolina, 1400 Red Banks Rd. in Greenville. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. except Sunday, August 12th at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at door and you can purchase them in advance by calling 888-622-3868 or purchase online by clicking here. For the preview performance on August 9, tickets are available at the ReMax office on Charles Blvd (we do not have these tickets available for purchase online).
We look forward to seeing you at the show!
