Ticketing Policies
The Box Office Manager is responsible for all matters regarding ticketing. No discounts or comps can be given without the approval of the Box Office Manager. If the Director or Producer wishes to arrange a special group rate or package deal, it must be approved by the Box Office Manager.Complimentary Tickets for VIPs, Cast & Crew
- For compensation for assistance in a show, participants may be granted a maximum of 2 Complimentary (COMP) codes.
- Assumption of multiple roles does not allow for additional COMPs to be earned.
- The Director has the discretion on how to assign the COMP codes.
- Example of criteria: 1 COMP for learning lines on time and 1 ticket for attending all required practices for the part. Whatever criteria is chosen it must be equally applied to all.
- The Director may, for any reason, revoke the COMP codes and any tickets that may have been redeemed from them.
- COMP codes are redeemable for actual tickets. Providing a COMP code at the door does not count as a ticket and does not gain admittance to the show.
- The COMP code may be redeemed at http://www.magnoliaartscenter.com/ by clicking on BUY TICKETS.
- COMP codes sent to local and/or regional VIPs must be approved by the Box Office Manager.
- The Director of a show may request COMP codes for the cast and crew from the Box Office Manager
- By law, COMP codes and the tickets redeemed from a comp code have $0 (zero) value.
- Issuing COMP codes for those other than Cast/Crew requires permission of the Box Office Manager.

Seating Policy
The purpose of this document is to establish a set of guidelines for patron seating and for instances where we have a sold out show. This policy assumes General Admission seating.
Preferred Seating
- Patrons who are also donors of the MAC get priority seating starting at 30 minutes prior to curtain until 15 minutes prior to curtain. This gives our supporters a 15 minute head start on getting the best seating.
- Patrons need 1) a valid ticket for this show 2) Must have their MAC Donor card or be recognized by a Front-of-House staff member as a current donor.
Special Needs Seating
- Patrons with special needs may be seated during the Preferred Seating period if needed. It is at the discretion of the Front-of-House staff and volunteers to allow this.
Ticketed Patrons
- Patrons with tickets may be seated starting at 15 minutes prior to curtain. Patrons with special needs arriving in this period should be given priority seating appropriate for their situation.
- A Patron's ticket becomes VOID after the listed show start time, but if it is possible and appropriate, we should try to seat the patron in a house seat.
Wait List Patrons
If a show is scheduled to be within 5-10 seats of a SOLD OUT show, please start a wait list. The purpose of this list is to establish an order of arrival for people wishing to see the show without advance tickets.
- A person must be present at the time their name is put on the list. Name and # of people in the party.
- The party only pays when their name is called and are ready to enter the venue.
- The entire party does NOT need to be there at the time the party's name is put on the list.
- A party that is called must be present to be admitted.
- If they are not all present, we will immediately take those that are and will attempt to fit the rest as they arrive.
- The present party may choose to defer admittance until their party arrives.
- The party name may stay at the top of the list until they wish to be admitted.
- A ticketed patron who arrives late is NOT guaranteed a seat (as his/her ticket is void) however they are placed immediately at the top of the Wait List. ***A previously ticketed patron for today's performance does NOT need to pay again. Their ticket will count as their payment
- Wait lists are only started at the door on the day of the show. A person MUST be present to put their name on the list - phone or word-of-mouth is not acceptable.
- If a ticketed patron comes late and is unable to be seated due to capacity or no suitable break in the show, the House Manager may offer 1st spot on the next show's wait list as long as the patron comes prior to 30 minutes before the show.
