The Chicago Caper

The Chicago Caper
A Magnolia Arts Teen Murder Mystery
A coffee & dessert production.

You have received an invitation to S.P. Keasy’s place, a private club near the headquarters of notorious gangster Hal Cappone.  Cappone was released today from Awsume State Penitentiary after serving a six-month term. But upon arriving, Hal is discovered murdered! The question “whodunnit”? The suspects: Molly M. Awbsterr (society dame from NY, the ultimate flapper in Chicago); Ernie (Bet-a-million) Ernie G. Ambler (Chicago’s most colorful millionaire), Silky M. Adame (shady owner-operator of Chicago’s most prominent private establishment), Eddie (Socks) R. Gyle (smooth and fashionable, owns the Green Tables gambling house), Malissa F. Orrthot (a crime reporter for the city’s leading paper The Trumpet, her beauty and  charm helped further her career on both sides of the law), S. Treighton Harrow (US District Attorney), Anna Maria Carlotta Sassine (her sultry voice and her traditional blues renditions have earned here the nickname “Torchy”), this smoldering beauty) Billy (The Kid) Thrower (star pitcher for the Stock Kings; he is fun-loving, hard-drinking, warm-hearted, and hell-raising).

Everyone is a suspect, has a motive, and an opportunity (or two). If you haven’t been to a murder mystery before, we suggest you give it a “shot”.

SO MUCH FUN, IT’S ALMOST CRIMINAL!
If you like, come dressed as a character from the Roaring 20s!  The best costume each performance receives two invitations to the preview night of Magnolia Arts Center’s production of Annie.

This caper is also a coffee and dessert production.  Everyone attending will get complimentary coffee/beverage.  Several dessert choices will be available.
